What it is
Glutathione is a tripeptide of glutamate, cysteine and glycine, found in nearly every cell. It is the main small-molecule thiol in cellular redox chemistry.

What the published research covers
Its biochemistry is long established: it cycles between a reduced and an oxidized form, donates electrons to glutathione peroxidases and conjugates to foreign compounds through glutathione S-transferases.
