What Marvel Peptide USA collects when you use this site, open an account or place an order; who sees it; how long it is kept; and what you can ask of us.
What this covers
This notice explains what Marvel Peptide USA ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, open an account or place an order, why we collect it, who sees it and what you can ask of us. It applies to the public shop, to customer accounts and to orders placed through them. It is part of the Research Use Agreement every customer accepts, which refers to it as our privacy notice.
What we collect
- Account and order details you give us: your name, organization, email address, telephone number, shipping and billing addresses, and what you order.
- Your acceptance of the Research Use Agreement: the version accepted, the name you typed, the date and time, and the network address the acceptance came from. The agreement asks for this in section 17, and it is reaffirmed with every order.
- Payment records. When you pay by card, the card details are entered on our payment processor's own secure page; they never reach our servers and we never see or store a card number. We keep the processor's confirmation of the payment: the amount, the date and whether it completed. An order paid by invoice is recorded as an invoice and its payment.
- What you send us: email, messages through your account, and any documents you provide to confirm your eligibility to purchase, such as proof of age or a business registration.
- Technical details: our servers and the service that protects the site record the network address, browser and pages requested with each visit. These logs are used to operate and secure the site and are kept for a short time.
How we use it
- To take, pack, ship or hand over your order, and to invoice it.
- To confirm that you may purchase: that you are at least 21 and buying for laboratory research, as the Research Use Agreement requires, and to hold or decline an order where we cannot confirm it.
- To answer you, and to send the emails an order needs: confirmation, invoice, payment receipt, tracking, and notice that a pickup order is ready.
- To meet our legal duties: tax records, business records, and the ability to notify every recipient of a batch if a batch is ever withdrawn.
- To keep the site and our customers' accounts secure.
We do not send marketing email you have not asked for.
Who sees it
- Our payment processor, when you pay by card. The card page is theirs, under their own privacy policy, and they return to us only the confirmation described above.
- Our shipping service and the carrier that delivers your order (FedEx or USPS). They receive the name, address and telephone number on the order to make the label and deliver the parcel.
- The companies that host the site and deliver it to your browser. The site runs on servers in the United States, behind a service that filters traffic to keep it up and secure, and our email provider carries the order emails.
- Public authorities, where the law requires it, or to respond to a regulatory inquiry or a product withdrawal.
Nobody else. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Account and order records are kept for as long as the account is open and afterwards for as long as tax and business-record law requires. Records of your acceptance of the Research Use Agreement are kept for as long as the account and its order history are kept, because they are what shows that every order was placed for research use. Server and traffic logs are kept for a short time and then discarded.
What you can ask
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can ask us to close your account. We will do so, except where we are required to keep a record: completed transactions, invoices, agreement acceptances and anything needed for a product withdrawal stay on file for the periods above. You can change your contact details and addresses yourself in your account at any time.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, access to customer records is limited to the staff who need it to fill orders and answer you, and card details are never on our systems. No system is perfect; if you believe your account has been misused, tell us at once and we will act on it.
Age
This site is for adults aged 21 and over purchasing for laboratory research. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we close any account we find was opened by one.
Changes
When this notice changes, the new version is posted here with its effective date. A change that affects what we collect or who sees it is also sent to account holders by email.
